The Brunchwich of Champions

This may be both the simplest and the best recipe you'll ever find here.

1. Toast 2 slices of bread.

2. Prepare 2 strips of bacon.

3. Spread peanut butter on one slice of toasted bread.

4. Apply bacon to peanut butter. . .

5. Spread Nutella on other slice of bread.

6. Combine into sammich.

7. Nom.

Didn't Elvis eat these? Regardless, this is the combo you've been seeking all your life. I'm proud to have seen it all come together.

I feel like I would need a glass of whole milk to wash it down.

Sin, I tell you, sin. Delicious sin...

I am planning on making bacon chocolate chip cookies with a maple glaze sometime in the next few weeks; shall I mail some to you? ;)

"4. Apply bacon to peanut butter...". Quite likely the loveliest sentence ever constructed. Thank you.

don't know what nutella is, but that slice on the right looks like someone used it to wipe-- err . . . up . . . a mess.

Normally a big fan of the bacon recipe posts but I would be thrilled if we could avoid similar "Two slices, one cup" type photos in the future.

I would order that in a restaurant. With an extra side of bacon.

That looks so yummy. If I wasn't in a weight loss bet (yep, I hate losing any competition) I would go to the commissary, buy the ingredients, and make it back in my room.

The Skippy "Natural" makes it healthy, right?

What the? Dagny Taggart chooses not to comment on the nutella? Inconceivable!

Add JackDaniels & Coke over ice, to complete (actually, my wife prefers Pecan Butter to Nutella, now that she's discovered it)

VanillaGarlic, one of my favorite food blogs, made maple bacon cupcakes. I thought I'd share.

Cheers.

If memory serves Elvis added fried bananas and did w/o the Nutella, but probably added a few 'ludes and and couple of Seconal, then the run & coke.

I just came back to look at that photo again. To be honest, it got me a little excited.

i personally just had an ice cream sandwich made of italian bread slathered with nutella with two scoops of cookies n cream ice cream in between.

if only it had been bacon ice cream.

I think that it looks really yummy. I would like to try that.

Never had Nutella. And, I'm not going to start now. But, the idea of a toasted peanut butter and bacon sandwich doesn't sound entirely bad to me. Strange how bacon catalyzes our curiosity...

I don't know why but I find your "nom" step hilarious.

megarita: Elvis's involved bananas. And, frankly, if I'd had any on hand, mine would've too.

i-66: I had it with a Coke.

lemmonex: um, yes. Maybe we can make them into ice cream sammiches with the breakfast ice cream.

dt: yay!

matt: don't blaspheme the nutella.

fk: yeah, I would've used more in the sammich itself, but I only had two strips left in the house.

daniel: I've actually lost a pound in the two days since eating it, so don't hold back.

jacob: it's practically an Ellie Krieger.

i-66: I don't think that means what you think it means.

daa: sounds about right.

anon: oh, nom.

gunn: the nutella substitutes for the 'ludes.

fk: glad I could help with that.

vittoria: oh yummy.

ma: it's really easy.

dc: bacon is king.

airam: it's very specific. You can't just eat it. You have to nom it. With gusto.

Oooh...that does look...nommy indeed.

I have to get my hands on some of that Vosges chocolate - the dark chocolate with bacon. Is it wrong to spend $40 on chocolate?
