Look, People. . .

Given how quickly they've been churning out the seasons lately, I get to watch Project Runway about half the Thursday nights of the year.

But how often am I going to get to see the greatest player in baseball hit his 400th career home run?

Yeah. So you should've known which one I was going to pick.

Recap sometime Saturday, sometime between whenever I've slept off tonight's game and whenever I leave the house to go to that one.

Oh, and spoil away in the comments if you want to -- I'm not one of those assholes who'll whine about the world not conforming to their schedule.

Congrats to Albert for a great accomplishment and to you for sticking the game out. That was a tough way for the game to end. I'd have liked to have seen them being forced to use pitchers as position players.

I have no clue about anything sports-related, but hooray!

I am eager for your PR8 recap, as this was the *best* episode of the past three seasons combined. Delish. Quick thoughts:

*I still liked Michael C.'s dress and don't mind his win.

*A.J. was sucktastic and I'm glad he's gone.

*The winning team made an outstanding collection, and I wish all six won.

*The losing team were grotesque in so many ways, but Wretchen's epic PR moment was legendary. They must've cast her and knew what a she-devil she was. This can't be natural, can it? Whatever. Tim Gunn is love.

*Valerie and Mondo need to win already, ugh.

My captcha says "derfer"; my captcha is mentally-challenged ♥.

P.S. Past 3 seasons = all Lifetime seasons, not my all-time fave before the move (season 5).

Yay, you got to do something else, rather then watch PR. Good for you.

Anyway, this just means you get to watch the bi-polar moment and Tim's verbal bitch slap over and over again.

Pujols is undeniably great. I'm extremely excited to see the MVP race shape up between him and my boy Joey Votto.

jcd: oh, I left halfway through the 11th. I'm not that strong.

ePJ: I actually thought both collections were awful in entirely different ways, but I enjoyed the episode.

Veganista: and I did!

BM: Prediction: twenty years from now, no one will know the name Joey Votto.

@Jordan: I still don't!

Because.... he's not Albert Pujols?

I bet they'll know him as the 2010 NL MVP.

bm: which makes him the answer to a trivia question most people will need the Baseball Almanac to answer. One year being a league MVP --should that happen -- does not a great or memorable career make.

True that. Of course, I never said he was in the same class, career-wise, as your dear Mr. Pujols. That dude is one of the 10 greatest players ever, and I think there's a good chance 10 years from now, he'll have 800 homers and we'll be having parades for him as he retires.

That said...I'm pretty sure there's a vast space between "greatest of all-time" and "obscure footnote".

I can tell you with certainty that Joey Votto will at least be remembered for a long time in Cincinnati (and Toronto, I suppose).

Sorry... didn't mean to be one of "those" commenters, with all the back and forth. I do love a good baseball discussion, though.
