Hi guys,I'm taking a pass on recapping last night's episode for a few reasons. The primary one is that I'll be out of town for family related stuff through Wednesday evening.
I know I'll be watching the episode at some point while I'm away, but I also know I won't have the time or the resources (e.g. huge quantities of wine) it takes to put a recap together.
And given that the second I get back we're right into next week's episode of Just Desserts and then Project Runway comes right up after that, I'm not going to commit to taking the time to play catch up and recap it at a later date. It would be too much to squeeze into that tiny time frame, and it might just kill me.
The other reason is that I am fucking terrified of birds. I hate them. I hate them so much. And so even if I did commit to sitting down at some point and writing up the episode, it would be a recap punctuated by scary squealing noises, and frequent pauses while I stopped to hurl things at the TV so that those disgusting feathered beasts wouldn't try to hop through the screen and into my apartment.
But go ahead and discuss it in the comments as you usually would, please. Wasn't what that one contestant made amazing? And wasn't it tense when that one judge said that one thing? And wasn't Josh a cockplant?

You didn't miss much. It was SUPER boring.
CAW! CAW! Vic-To-WAH!
The more I think about Joshua, he really hasn't been totally off in his commentary (e.g. Becky, etc.). And he wasn't off about Anya. I saw both sides, and I've liked Anya so far, but she has gotten lots of help (sewing, advice, spare change from Anthony so she could even buy fabric). So for her to be all "well, this is a competition, he shouldn't even ask for help at this point" was a bit disappointing to me. Though she was more passive aggressive, which is a behavior best saved for myself. I totally get the competition perspective, but if you are really good at what you do, wouldn't you want to beat everyone else at their best and not on a technicality? JMO.
I'm feeling like Viktor has become the Greek chorus of the show, saying all the things the rest of us are thinking. And I just want to keep replaying the "Miss Daisy" clip!
