I am off to a rocky start this year, y'all. Of course, I think I was off to as rocky a start last year, and ended up with a less than embarrassing rank compared to the rest of the field, but still. No one likes to get blanked in round one of their own stupid contest. So congratulations, Tigers. I'm glad for you, and Jim Leyland, and his awesome old school-ness.
I should really know better than to root for the Yankees by now -- it almost never works out for me, and it makes me feel vaguely filthy.
In this match-up, Colleen, Rob, FOX, and the Washington Post all got the full three points for choosing the correct team and the correct number of games, while JCD gets 2 for picking the Tigers. Tyler, CS and I get nothing. NOTHING!!! Which makes the scores at the end of the NLDS:

Don't worry about picking the Yankees - if the Tigers weren't my home team, I probably would've gone with the odds and picked the Yankees too.
